Back to School, Amaimo
HJA Foundation brings school supplies, care and football to Amaimo, so children can learn, grow and dream bigger than their circumstances.
What we do
Four areas, one community. Everything we do is planned with the people of Amaimo.
Education
School packs for primary pupils and an inter-school quiz for secondary students.
Healthcare
Coming next. We’re preparing our first health program, so families in Amaimo can get basic care closer to home.
Sport & youth
53 kids aged 5–14 train with JobiSports FC Amaimo four times a week, a safe place off the streets.
Community
Support for the most vulnerable, like our Christmas support for widows in Amaimo.
Back to School
On 20 September 2025 we equipped 30 pupils from government primary schools in Amaimo with a full school pack, and spoke with parents about the value of regular school attendance.

Meet the founder
Hamdi Akujobi
A professional footballer who grew up in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with roots in Amaimo Ikeduru Imo State, Nigeria. Every visit to Amaimo showed him the same thing: the talent was there, the opportunities were not. So he decided to do something about it himself. He founded HJA Foundation and funded it from day one, starting with school bags, supplies and a youth football team. Today HJA works in education, sport and community, with healthcare as the next step, and one aim: making sure the next generation gets a fair start.
